In our previous entry, we featured artwork by comic book artist Kevin Czapiewski, former teaching assistant for the digital foundations program at the Cleveland Institute of Art, where I teach.

When Kevin left us recently for a great opportunity with a design firm, we hired artist Niki Smith as our new TA. Niki is also a very accomplished comic book artist/graphic novelist.

Among many other projects, she’s currently the artist for “Maps & Legends”. “Maps & Legends” is a collaboration with writer Michael Jasper and is published by Zuda Comics, DC Comics online comics line. Read “Maps & Legends” here.
