I’m now in the tedious final stages of completing my short film “Figure/Ground”. All week I’ve been rendering for hours, finding some small flaw and then re-rendering. Rendering = processing the video so it can be played in real time. If you have a complicated, multi-layered video, this can take a LONG time. I’ve been doing this over and over and over! Even as we speak, a new render is “cooking”. In any event, it’ll only be a matter of hours or days before my film is finally finished and ready to go out into the world. We’ll have more info soon.

In celebration, I’ll be releasing three short excerpts from my award-winning first short film “Escape Velocity” on my youTube Channel, one each week for the next three weeks. Shorts International is selling “Escape Velocity” on iTunes for only $1.99, the film recently made its premiere on American television on the Documentary Channel, and it’s playing all month in the Price Auditorium at the Virginia Center for the Arts, the leading contemporary art institution in Virginia.
